PROPHET MUSA (علیہ السلام) AND PROPHET KHIDR (علیہ السلام)

PROPHET MUSA (…………..) AND PROPHET KHIDR (…………….)
SAYYIDINA musa (…………) exhorted the banu isra’il to obey Allah and to observe taqwa and an adherence to the shari’ah. They listened to him with rapt attention and when he finished, one of them asked him, “Who is the most learned of men? He said promptly, “I”. Allah censured him for this answer and asked him how he had acquired his knowledge. He said that he ought to have attributed all knowledge to Allah he also informed him of one of his slaves, living at the junction of the two seas, as more learned than sayyidina musa (…………..)And he should meet him.
Ssayyidna musa(………….)regretted his haste and set out to meet sayyidina khidr (………………..) he took along a young servant too. Allah had instructed him to carry a fish with him (in his basket) and the place where the fish escaped was the one where he would meet the man.
When he was at the junction of the two seas, he felt drowsy and he fell asleep. It began to rain and some of it fell on the basked. The fish revived when some drops of water fell on it and its way out of the basket into the sea.
When he awoke, sayyidina musa (…………….) and his servant resumed their journey. After a little while, he felt tired and hungry, so he asked his servant for his food . it was then that the youth remembered that the fish had jumped into the sea. He had forgotten to speak of it earlier. Sayyidina musa (…………….) retraced his steps with his servant because that was where he was to meet sayyidina khidr (……………) there he found a lean man with deep set eyes, his face reflecting taqwa. Sayyidina musa (………………..) said, “assalam-u-alaikum, o slave of Allah!” sayyidina khidr (…………………) said, “wa-laikum us lam, o musa prophet of banu isra’il.” Sayyidina musa (…………………) was amazed. He asked, “How do you know me?” he said, “that Supreme Being informed me of you who informed you of me o musa, what is it that you want?” he said, “I have come to learn from your knowledge.
At that moment a bird divan down and touched, the water with its beak. Sayyidina khidr (……………) asked, “Do you know what this tiny bird has to say?” sayyidina musa (……………) requested him to enlighten him. He said that it says, “o khidr, your knowledge and the knowledge of musa compared to Allah’s knowledge is like the water in my beak compared to the water of the sea. “ sayyidina musa (……………..) then requested him to permit him to follow him that he might teach him from what he know of the guidance.
Sayyidina khird (………………) said that sayyidina musa (…………….) would have to show patience which he could not do, because he did not possess that much knowledge and experience. He would regard his doings as a mistake unless he know the reason of itsayyidina musa ((((……………) however, assured him that he would be patient obedient. Syyyidina khidr (…………….) said, “if that is so, then you must not ask me about anything till I disclose to you the reasoning.”
They continued to stand at the sea shore. A boat passed by. When sayyidina kgidr (…………..) gesturedto it, it stopped and he (and sayyidina musa-…………) boarded it. Sayyidina khidr (……………) plucked out one of its planks letting water inside and the boat seemed to drown. Sayyidina musa (………………..) could not restrain himself and asked, “Would you drown these people? What a thing to do?” sayyidina khidr (………….) reminded him of his assurance not to ask about anything he did, sayyidina musa (………………..)Regretted his mistake, saying, “do not seize me for what I forgot ……….” Then, the three of them alighted from the boat. They walked towards a township nearby Sundly, sayyidina khidr (………………) caught hold of a young boy playing with other children and suffocated him to death. Sayyidina musa(………………..) again lost his patience and asked about it in wonder. Sayyidina khidr (…………………..)Looked at him enquiringly and smiled. Sayyidina musa(…………………) again regretted his conduct and assured him that if he committed the mistahe again then he may part with him.
When they came to the township, sayyidina khidr (………………………) asked the people for a meal as their guests, but they refused to play host. Then, sayyidina khidr (………………..)Saw a well about to collapse. He repaired it to stand erect. Sayyidina musa (……………..)Said, “You could have asked for wages.” Sayyidina khidr (……………) said, “This is the parting between you and me. I shall inform you about what you could not endure with patience.” Then, he told him that the boat belonged to some poor people who worked at the sea. A cruel king was given to confiscate property of the subject. But, he would not take a defective thing this was a concealed mercy towards the poor.
As for the by, he was rude and disobedient while his parents were pious and righteous. He could have made their life miserable as a disbeliever and wicked man. So, Allah he killed him at Allah’s command. Allah was trusted to give them a pious and good child, instead.
As for the wall, there was a treasure buried. Underneath it belong to orphan children. Their father was very pious so, he he repaired the wall for them that their treasure might be preserved for for theb. He added, “I did not do it of my own Accor. “It was Allah’s command. This was the interpretation of what sayyidina musa (……………) could not bear patiently.
(These are form verse 65 to 82 of surah al-kahf)
Allah thus taught sayyidina that there is one more knowing than who know. He is Allah, the most knowing, most aware. The omniscient

TALUT AND JALUT

TALUT AND JALUT
AFTER THE DEATH OF SAYYIDINA MUSA (………………) Allah sent many prophet (……….) to the banu isra’il most of whom disobeyed the prophet (……………) and violated Allah’s commands. Allah seized them severely and caused them to roam about in the wilderness for forty years. Hunger and thirst gripped them and they were best with infighting, and for each other. Their enemy amalekites(amaliqah) subdued. They were from Palestine. The banu isra’il retreated from the battlefield so that their ark was also captured by the enemy they had been using it as a blessing and had sought help through virtue of it and it contained the staff of sayyidina musa (…………….) and some tablets of the torah. The amalekites were under the command of jalut who humiliated the banu israil beyond description.
When they were at tether’s end, they said to their prophet (…………) “appoint a king over us to lead us in battle.” He asked them if they may be expected to fight were they commanded to fight. They assured that, having been humiliated, they would fight definitely so, the prphet (…………) prayed and Allah accepted his prayer revealing to tell them that talut would be their king. He was a very strong man but poor and unknown. They raised objections against him on this ground, saying that there were many others among them of high rank and position, and, therefore, more deserving. Their prophet (…………) advised them not to question Allah’s judgment. Allah had chosen him and was more knowledgeable and had a batter physique. Moreover, Allah grants kingdom to which he choose.
Their prophet (………….) told them that he would use his knowledge and strength to devise war strategy and to cast awe over the enemy, because he had divine help. He also told them that Allah would get then back their ark. The angels will carry it to them, as a sign of divine support far talut. Indeed, this miracle took place and the banu isra
‘il saw it with their eyes. Then, they accepted their divine command.
Talut began war preparations swiftly. He advanced with the army through the desert before encountering jalut’s forces; he tried the banu israil for their bravery and determination. So, he told them that they would come across a river and no one must drink much water from it. They must take only a handful to clear dryness of the throt but at the river they did not heed his guidance. They jumped into the river and drank to their full.
However, a small band among them obeyed talut and drank just a handful and only they could accompany him up to the battle field. They drew ranks and talut lrd them. When the saw the huge army of jalut and their equipment, some of the banu isra’il thought of feeling but the patient believers urged them, saying, “Many a times a few people subdue a large army with permission and allah is with the patient.” They prayed to Allah:
(…………………………………………………………-)
“Our lord, pour out perseverance on us make firm our feet, and help us against the disbelieving people.”
(al- bqrah, verse 250))
Jalut had the armour on him and the sword in his hand. He was intoxicated with his strength. He challenged the banu israil who were overawe and nearly deserted their body. However, a shepherd by the name of sayyidina dawuo (……………) advanced bravely responding to the challenge. He only had his stick, with which he guided his sheep, and a catapult with which he could shoot stones to long distances. He had another prowess which was more important and strong than these two things: firm faith in Allah and an unwavering conviction. He raised his catapult put a stone in it fluttered it in the air a few times and, relying on Allah, released it in the air. Allah caused, the air to carry it and strike jalut on the middle of his forehead like a missile breaking his head in two. He tumbled down on the ground. His army saw the fate of their commander and terrible them, and they fled from the battlefield.
Thus Allah caused the banu israil to triumph. He showed that he never neglects his obedient slaves.
When talut died, this very sayyidina dawud (…………………..)Prophet of banu israil . Thing every Saturday, fish came to the shores in a very large number but. On all other days, they disappeared into the deep sea. This was a trial for, them and Allah had inspired the fish to action this manner.
Having observed this natural act a long time, they finally contrived to catch the fish they laid their nest with thorns on Saturday and on the next day they picked all the fish that were trapped in their nets. In this way, they disobeyed Allah. However, some people among them, advised them against doing this and asked them to repent to Allah and give up their innovative ways but they did not listen to them. In fact they began to do it openly.
Allah punished them for their disobedience. His wrath descended on them and Allah transformed them into apes (the word for this kind of change is metamorphosis) those people who used to preach to them and advise them against doing so and who continued to worship on Saturday, Allah preserved them from his punishment.

PROPHET SULAYMAN (علیہ السلام) AND THE QUEEN OF SABA, BILQUIS

PROPHET SULAYMAN (………………) AND THE QUEEN OF SABA, BILQUIS
Sayyidina sulayman (……………………._ was not only a prophet of Allah but Allah had also made him a king over a vast territory. Moreover, his domain was not limited over mankind alone but he also ruled over the jinss. Allah had subjugated to him the winds too, all animals on earth and birds in the atmosphere. Too however, he was aware fully that the wisdom behind giving him absolute authority over all these things was to try him. He acknowledged this fact as his words in the quran disclose:
(……………………………………………………………………………………………………………-)
“This is of my lord’s bounty that he may test me, whether I thank (him) or privy ingrate. And whosoever gives thank, gives thanks only for his own soul, and whosoever is ungrateful, then surely my lord is self-sufficient, bountiful.” (surah annamal, 40)
One day, he was leading his army and a retinue of assistants in great glory through mountains, plain and valleys. When they were at the valley of naml, one of the ants forewarned her specie, “retreat to your homes and inside holes lest sulayman’s (………….) army trample you unknowingy.” He heard her and laughed and he prayed:
(…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..-)
My lord! Inspire me that I should thank you for your bounty you have bestowed on me and on my parents and (inspire me) that I may do good deeds that shall be pleasing to you. And admit me, by your mercy, among your righteous slaves.” (surah an mal, verse 19)
Then he inspected his army as all commanders do. He found that the hudhud (hoopoe) was not there. He asked, “Why, is he absent without my permission? I shall punish him severely or slaughter him unless he presents a valid excuse>” soon thereafter the hudhud appeared declaring submission and the reason for his absence. He said that he had been round the word but come across a knowledge that sayyidina sulayman (……………) might not be knowing but woluld give it importance. He had brought information about saba.
This place is located in yemen. This country, yemen, is situated very far from bayt ul-maqdis (the seat of sayyidina sulayman……………..)
The hudhud discloses that a woman ruled over that country as their queen. She was given every conceivable thing. The most amazing thing that she possessed was the royal throne. The hudhud had not seen such a large throne anywhere else in the world. He disclosed also that those people had for misguidance and had shut their eyes to truth. They worshiped the sun and not alllah, the one. They prostrated to the sun. They ought to prostrate to allah who bestows bounties on everyone. There is no god besides Allah, the owner of the mighty throne.
Sayyidina sulayman (………………….) beard him and said that he would verify his statement before accepting it. He wrote a letter to the queen and instructed the hudhud to drop it to them carefully without being seen. Then he should see how they reacted but must not let them know about himself. Then, the hudhud flew there and landed on the window of the queen’s bedroom. There was no one in the room. Sa, he quietly dropped the letter on her bed and concealed himself behind the curtain over a window. When she came to retire, she found the letter. She took it. Opened it and read it. Her color changed on reading it. She paced up and down the room thinking about its contents and how it landed there. With this on her mind, she wants to sleep. In the morning, she summoned her ministers and advisers. She told them of the letter from sayyidina sulayman (………………) beginning: in the name of Allah, the compassionate, the merciful, and demanding: do not rise against me but come to me in submission. Then, she asked them for advise as she always did before deciding anything. She was aware of sayyidina sulayman (………………) strength, and she wanted to tackle this matter amicable. They reminded her that they were a force to be reckoned with, but they waited
Her final decision she reminded them that invaders always playedhell with the people they attacked and humiliate their nobles and chefs. She did not wish that her subject should go to know of syyidina sulayman’s (…………………..) intentions and would send to him some gifts. Her ministers and adviser agreed with her. They prepared a handsome baggage of gifts including jeweler and other items. And they sent it with some of their men.
O children, sayyidina sulayman (…………………) was not a man of the world that he would be impressed with riches. Rathere, he was a king not interested in worldly wealth but he was concerned with conveying allah’s message. When the queen’s representatives came to him delighted with the gifts they had brought, he remarked, “Will you help me with wealth? Know that Allah has given me what is better than that which he has given you, so, retain you gifts with yourselves and be happy with that.” Then, he warned them, saying, “Return to them. We shall come with an army that cannot be turned back. We shall drive them out of there, disgraced.”
Sayyidina sulayman (………………….) decided to let them know that the strength Allah had given him was greater than their apparent strength. So, he asked his chiefs, “Which of you will bring me her throne before they come to me in submission. “he asked for the throne because it is the symbol of authority and ruler ship one of the giant jinns offrred to bring it to him before he rose from his place. But, he wanted it even before that. He turned away from the giant. Another learned one offered to bring it within the blink of an eye. And, indeed, the throne bikquis was before him in the twinkling of an eye. On seeing it, sayyidina sulayman (………………) showed humbleness and submission, saying, “this is part of my lord’s bounty to see whether I am grateful or not. Whoever thanks does so for himself and whoever does not thank, than my lord is independent, bountiful.”
There, when the queen learnt that her gifts were returned to her, she took her ministers and nobles and set out for bayt ul-maqdis. She had decided to offer submission to sayyidina sulayman (…………………) she had not know that her throne was already there. On the other hand, sayyidina sulayman (………………) was aware of everything even that she was headed towards bayt ul-maqdis. So, he instructed his servants to disguise her throne for her. He wished to examine her whether she was guided or she was among the misguided, ignorant ones.
When she arrived, he receved her and her escorts warmly in the fashion of royalty. When she was seeded, he asked her about her throne; “it is like yours?” she looked at it carefully and said, “it seems the same.”
This was evidence of her poor intelligence. If she was a believer, then she would have known that there is no limit to Allah’s powers and ability. Then, sayyidina sulayman (……………..) and the queen, bilquis, stood up. All the attendants and members of the assembly stood with them. They headed for the interior courtyard of the –palace. They came to the wide and spacious courtyard made of glass with pillars of silver. Sayyidina sulayman (…………….) paused to allow the queen to go ahead of him As she prepared to put her foot forward, she saw a reflection of sayyidina sulayman’s (……………) ministers and of the floor and she would have to go through it, so she tucked up her lower garment lest it become wet. Sayyidina sulayman(…………) smiled and said:
(…………………………………………………-)
“it is a palace smoothed of crystal.”
She felt ashamed because of her lack of knowledge. She blowed before sayyidina sulayman’s (……………………. ) knowledge and strength. She said, “my lord,, I have wronged myself. I submit myself with sulayman to allah, the lord of the worlds.”
In this way, she accepted islam and professed belief in allah. She and her entourage gave up sun-worship. She surrendered her kingdom to sayyidina sulayman (…………………).

SAYYIDINA UZAYR

SAYYIDINA UZAYR
ALLAH says in the qu’ran, in surah al-baqrah verses 259:
(…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..-)
“Or the like of him who passed by a township which had fallen down upon its roofs. He said, “how shall allah give it life after its death?” so, allah made him dei for a hundred years, then brought him back to life. He asked, “how long have you tarried?” he said, “I have tarred a day, or a part of a day,” he said, “nay, but you tarred a hundred years. Just look at your food and drink they have not spoiled and look at your ass! And, we would make you a sign for mankind, and look at the bones, how we set them together, and then clothe them with flesh.” So, when it became clear to him, he exclaimed, “I know that surely allah has power over everything “
Sayyidina uzayr (……………….) belonged to the banu isra’il was a pious slave of Allah possessing divine awareness. He was well-know to his people because of his righteousness. He had committed the torah to memory as though it was inscribed on his heart. He had a fertile garden with a large verity of fruit and vegetables and it was situated near the township where he resided.
One day, he set out, as usual, towards his garden on his donkey. He carried his lunch in a basked. He alighted from his donkey at the garden and occupied himself in gardening. On his return journey, when he came by the graveyard, he made a detour to it and there he observed some decayed bones lying about and some broken-down graves. He stopped the donkey and got down from it and sat, reclined on a dense tree. He took out his food, but before he could eat it, his mind wandered and he asked himself, “how will Allah revive it after its death?” he had no doubt whatsoever about it, but he wondered about its nature. While he was contemplating in this way, Allah sent to him the angel of death to take away his soul his food lay there untouched and his donkey too died. When he did not reach home at the appointed time, his family members searched for him but he could not be found for days together.
Finally, they despaired of finding him. Soon people began to forget him as yers passed away. A hundred years passed in this way. Many of his contemporaries died and may others were born. Condition and signs changed. Then, Allah sent an angel to him who assembled his bones in his dust, clothed them with flesh, grew his hair and blue soul into his body. He woke up, rubbing his eyes and sat straight. He looked around and on seeing the quiet graves recalled how he had stopped while returning home. He presumed that he had slept for only a short while. The angel who had brought his bones together and revived him at Allah’s command asked him, “how long have you tarried?” then the answers and questions followed as in the verse (259) of al-baqrah quoted in the beginning. He looked at the food and saw that it had not spoiled. The angel detected that sayyidina uzayr (…………….) hesitated to believe him, so he pointed out to his donkey. Sayyidina uzayr saw that instead of the live donkey, its decayed bones were there. They angel called those decayed bones, with Allah’s permission, and they stood up erect! Flesh and hair clothed them and there was the donkey syyyidina uzayr (…………….) saw that and asked Allah for forgivenss, engaged in tasbih and tahmid and feel down in prostration. And, he declared, “I know that Allah has power over everything.”
Then he got up, mounted the donkey and set it direction towards the tonwshi. Allah had decreed that sayyidina uzayr (…………………) should be a sign for the people and a miracle to prove life after death. When he was there at the time of sunset, he was stupefied at the changes that he observed. The house, the streets and the people had alla changed. He know no one and on one recognized him. He was going from one street to another searching for his home when suddenly a blind, old woman appeared before him leaning on her stick. He went close to her and asked “o good woman of allah, do you know sayyidina uzayr’s house?” she exclaimed, “uzayr? No one here remembers uzayr. He went out one day, never to return it is now nearly a hundred years but, who are you? Why do ask of him?” he said to her, “o good lady, I am uzayr! Allah had caused me to die for a hundred years and now he had revived me. “ she was scared stiff. She did not believed him. She said, “I was a maid servant in uzayr’s house and I know that he was a pious man whose prayers were answered. If you are uzayr then pray to allah that he may restore my eyesight so I might see you and recognize you.” Sayyidina uzayr (…………….) prayed for her. Allah accepted his prayers and restored her eyesight. She recognized him.
Then, he went with her to his grandson’s house. When the door was opened she exclaimed in a loud voice, “this, here, is uzayr (……………….) ! come back to you! Alla the family members were stunned and gathered round him. She told them that he had prayed to allah and her eyes were restored she than recognized him since there was no change in him his grandson said to him, “my father used to say about his father that he knew the torah by heart and that he recited it very softly. If you are uzayr then do
Recite to us some of it.”
He recited a portion of the torah and everyone was spell bound by his soft voice and they recognized him by it. It was confirmed, too, that allah had given him death for a hundred years after which he gave him life to show his power and majestu.
Sayyidina uzayr (……………) lived for many years thereafter. After he died, his people, the banu israil fabricated many stories about him. They even said that he was allah’s son. But, allah is independent and has no children. He is pure of that, the quran says:
(…………………………………………………………………………………………..-)
“say, “he is allah, the one and only!allah, the eternally besought of all he begets not, nor was he begotten and there is none co-equal with him .” (surah ai- ikhlas, verses 1 to 4)

THE OWNER OF TWO GARDES

THE OWNER OF TWO GARDES
In the ancient times two men, friends of one another, resided in a township. One of them was a believer and the other an infidel. The former was very poor while the infidel was tremendously affluent and had many children too. He also owned two gardens with a river flowing between them and a train of date palms surrounding them. Each garden grew its own kids of fruit. \
One day as this infidel went to his gardens, he said to himself that his blessing and children were his forever and that he had earned them through his own intelligence. And that if he died, he would find there better than what he had here. (surah al-kahaf, verses 35,36)
When he came out of there, he met the believer. he taunted him for his poverty and behaved in a very haughty manner towards him. He said that he had more wealth than he and he denied allah’s blessing. He even rejected the hereafter and the day of resurrection. The believer asked him, “would you deny one who created you from dust and a drop of fluid? He then fashioned you. He is allah, my lord and has no partner. When you enter your gardens, you ought to say, ‘what Allah wills. There is no power and might save with Allah.’ I may be poor, but Allah might give me batter than what you have and he might send a thunderbolt on it and finish it off. In the morning, there might be no water in it and you might not get it back.
The believer preached to him that he should remember his lord often. He should not be deceived by the world’s adornment because they are fleeting. The blooming of fields and gardens is with Allah’s pleasure. If he is ungrateful, then Allah might withdraw his blessings.
The infidel did not listen to him. One night a violent wind and storm made short work of the gardens. Then, he was filled with remorse and hoped that he had not associated with Allah. He began to believe in Allah, the creator, and in the hereafter when reckoning will take place. However it was too late and his regret was of no benefit to him at that time.

THE PEOPLE OF A TOWNSHIP

THE PEOPLE OF A TOWNSHIP
Allah sent two of his messengers (…………..)to a township. Its people were idol-worshippers. When these messenger preached to them the town folk became more unruly and more disbelieving. Then, allah sent to them a third messenger, but, rather than believe, they told them that they were mortals like themselves and that they were lying, for, allah had not revealed anything to them. The messegers, told them that they had conveyed allah’s message as was their duty. Those people then resorted to threats. They accused the messengers of being in auspicious but they said to them, “rather is light and good omen with us.”
Meanwhile, a believer came to them running and advised them to follow the messengers who asked for no reward and were guided. The people accused this believer of straying off the path and abandoning the rerigion of his forefathers. He told them that he worshipped him who created him and to whom they would return. If he worshipped others and if the merciful punished him these others would be of no help.
Instead of listening to him, they beat him and finally killed him allah admitted him to paradise. He wished that his people had know how his lord had forgiven him and honored him after that, allah punished the township and annihilated its dwellers. It was just a single shout that did all the work!

This is covered in surah yasen from verses 13 to 29)

THE INHERITORS OF A GARDEN

THE INHERITORS OF A GARDEN
ALLAH SAYS:
(……………………………………………………………………………………………………-)
“SURELY we have tried them even as we tried the owners of the garden, when they swore that they would certainly pluck its fruit in the morning and they made no exception in their saying then a visitation from your lord visited it, while they were sleeping. So in the morning it became like a pluck garden, then they called out to each other in the morning, saying, “go out early to your tilth, if you would pluck!” so, they departed, while speaking to each other in low voices, “no needy person shall enter it today against your will.” And they went forth early, determined in (their) purpose but when they saw it, they said, “surely, we are gone astray, rather we have been deprived!” the most moderate of them said, “did I not say, to you. “why do you not glorify him?” they said, “glorified be our lord, surely we have been evildoers.” Then they advanced one against another, blaming each other they said, “woe to us! Surely we were inordinate”: it may be that our lord will give us in exchange one better than it. Surely, we are beseechers to our lord.” Such is the chastisement. And certainly the chastisement of the hereafter is greater if they but know! (surah alqalam, verses 17 to 33)
In the ancient times, there lived in the suburbs of yemen a pious, rich man. He had a garden with good produce of fruit and the like. He took only the bare essential for himself (and his family) and gave away all the rest to the poor and needy. He gave his children a good education and training and taught them to be pious and charitable to the poor, whom they must show mercy and for whom they must apportion a share in allah’s blessing on them .he fell ill and gave death bed instructions to his children he told them that charity never reduced one’s wealth, but increases it. He recommended the poor to them.
When he deid, however, the eldest and the youngest called him silly and agreed among themselves that they could not give their wealth to the poor. They said that allah can provide the needy as he provided them. They complained that the poor had been getting from their garden without working there and making any effort. One of them who was between the eldest and the youngest did not agree with them and remained them them of their father’s will and advice gee told them that if they did not give cherty them Allah’s wrath will decent on them and they will become poor he said that they had been enjoying blessings only because of their charty to the poor.
The two others gave no reply but decided that they would go to the garden while still dark in the morning before the poor reach there. They would pluck its fruit, and decided that they would ward off the poor and tell them that there was no fruit for then.

While they slept, Allah’s wrath descended on them the garden was destroyed completely leaving no fruit whatsoever when they come early in the morning they could not believe that they had come to their own garden when the pious brother remained them of his advice and their father’s will, they agreed that they were wrong.

PROPHET AYYUB

PROPHET AYYUB
Allah says in the quran in surah saad verses 41 to 44:
(…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..-)
“And remember our servant ayyub when he cried to his lord, “surely Satan has tout each me with toil and chastisement. “ (We said 🙂 “Stamp the ground with your foot, this is a cool washing-place, and a drink.” And we bestowed on him his household and along with them the like of them, as a mercy from us, and a remember acne to men of understanding. “And take in your hand a bundled of twigs. “ and, strike with it (your wife) and break not your oath,” surely we found him persevering. An excellent servant! Surely he was ever turning. To (us)”
Once, the devil had heard the angels speak of sayyidina ayyub (……………………….) worship and devotion to allah. He was constantly engaged in worship and expressing gratitude to allah for his blessing. The devil did not like that and decided to misguide sayyidina ayyub (………………….) he began to tempt him but nothing could penetrate sayyidina ayyub’s(……………………)heart, for, his ears and heart were sealed to such pollution. He was one of the chosen and sincere slaves of allah to whom the devil had no access.
The devil then curbed his arrogance and approached allah to whom he pleaded, “o allah, your slave sayyidina ayyub (………………………) worships you only because of the bounties you have bestowed on him he is not sincere and does not seek to please you so, withdraw the blessings and you will see how he turns away from you.” Allah the exalted, said, “o accursed devil, sayyidina ayyub (……………………) is sincere to me his worship is bereft of worldly love and is free of greed. He is a bright lamp of faith and holds a high position in patience, perseverance and conviction. Go, I permit you to take away his wealth from him and see how he behaves.”
The devil got his assistants to deprave sayyidina ayyub (……………….)of all his wealth and possession then he came to him as a wise old man and said, “the fire had devoured all you [property and your lord has forsaken you. Why then you continue to remember him?” the devil had thought that sayyidina ayyub (…………………..) would waver on hearing him. But, he said, firm in his conviction that allah had not deserted him, “the property that the fire has devoured was a trust of allah and he has taken it back so, I shall go on thanking him. He may give or not, be pleased or displeased. He is the owner of everything and may give to whosoever he like of the kingdom and honor.”
Then sayyidina ayyub (…………..) fell into prostration and the devil returned disgraced.
The devil then pleaded to allah that he should take away sayyidina ayyub’s (…………………) sons, saying that if that is done, he would become restless and complain. Allah assured the devil that sayyidina ayyub (……………) would newer falter even after that so, the devil got his hosts to demolish sayyidina ayyub’s (………………….) house on his family so that all of them died, crushed under the debris again he visited sayyidina ayyub (………….) this time as a sympathizer he said, “your sons have said , but do you not realize that allah has no need for your remembrance?he has never bothered to give you your roghts. “ sayyidina ayyub (………………..) wept and said to him “he had given and he took them away I will go on thanking him whether he gives or not …..” and he spooke as before and prostrated the devil retreated depressed he then pleaded with allah that he should be allowed to afflict sayyidina ayyub’s (……………..) health saying, “he will give up your worship because of his illness.”
Allah decided to make an example of sayyidina ayyub (……………………) faith and patience, so he allowed the devil to hurt sayyidina ayyub’s (…………….) boday. He forbade him his soul and tongue which had preserved the savors of faith. So, the devil and his team played havoc with sayyidina ayyub’s (……………..) health however, with every worsening of his health, there was a like strengthening in his faith, conviction and patience. He remained ill for a long time and become a skeleton all his friends and companions deserted him. He only had his persevering, grateful wife with him she served him and looked after him he continued to be grateful to Allah and never inclined to disobedience or in gratitude the devil was at a loose how to nab sayyidina ayyub(……………) one of the devil’s minions remained him how he had tempted sayyidina aadam (………….) out of paradise by using a woman indeed, the devil had never thought of sayyidina ayyub’s (………………..) wife. He lost no time and came to her he prompted her to cast a look at sayyidina ayyub (…………………)? He is not not nether dead nor alive indeed the devil achieved success with her she felt depressed and wept before sayyidina ayyub (……………..)And reminded him of their past, their property, children and friends and his youth where are they? How long will Allah punish you?
Sayyidina ayyub (……………..) said to her, “the devil has tempted you I think you do not weep because of the things you remember, but you are under a trial.” She asked, “have you not prayed to Allah to remove the affliction and grief?” he asked her, “how long had we lived in happiness and abundance?” she said, “eighty years. “He asked, “And how many years in distress?” she said, “seven years.” He said, “I feel ashamed to pray to Allah to remove the affliction when I see the years spent in blessing. But, your faith is weakening. So, I swear that when I regain health, I shall whip you and, as of today, it is forbidden to me to eat or drink whatever you give me. Keep yourself away from me till allah decides our case.”
When he was alone and he was in greater pain, he turned to allah and prayed:

(…………………………………………………….)
“Surely affliction has touched me and you are the most merciful of those who show mercy.” (surah al-anbiya, verse 83)
Allah accepted his supplication and commanded him to strike the ground so that a spring of water would flow. He was instructed to drink the water and have a bath with it and his illness and weakness would disappear.
His wife was a good natured, devoted woman. She came back to nurses him. She was surprised to find her husband regain his youth and beauty. She was happy and they embraced one another. She thanked allah and made a prostration of gratitude to him. Her husband had never neglected to remember allah, not even for a moment. He was patient throughout his trial.

PROPHET YUNUS

PROPHET YUNUS
ALLAH SENTayyidina yunus (………………) to his people to invite them to worship allah alone and to give up idol worship however, they persisted in their evil ways. They asserted that they would not give up what their ancestors had been worshiping and they called sayyidina yunus (…………………….) insane or bewitched. Prophet yunus (……………………) told them that he had conveyed the message to them and shown them evidences and sing and, if they did not believe, they will get allah’s punishment. They refused to believe and ven made fun of sayyidina yunus (…………..).
Finally, having lived among them for a length of time and invited them to allah’s worship, sayyidna yunus (………………….) decided to bid them farewell. He had just departed from them when the heaven was covered with clouds, the atmosphere was dense and violent winds blew. Darkness spread all over the people perceived signs of impending punishment they were worried and searched for sayyidina yunus (………………….) to confess to him their mistake and to express regret and repentance. But, he could not be found. They wished to declare their belief and to request him to pray to allah to the punishment. When they did not trace him, they prayed to allah directly to forgive them. They came out in the open and prayed their hands and weeping Allah accepted their prayer and removed the punishment that was almost on them. They came back to their homes and began to worship Allah alone.
As for sayyidina yunus (……………..) he reached the sea-shore. There he found a ship and boarded it. Suddenly, they sea became stormy. There was lightening and heavy rain.
The waves rose high and dropped into the ship almost drowning it. The crew shouted that the storm was unusual for that time and said that their goods were angry, for, someone among the passengers was a sinner to find him out, they drew lots, the name of sayyidina yunus (……………………..) was drawn
Sayyidna yunus (………………….) was sure that it was Allah’s will so, he threw himself into the sea at Allah’s command, a large fish swam speedily towards him and swallowed him unharmed he was inside its belly and the fish took him to the bottom of the sea. He was trapped in three layers of darkness: that of the fish’s belly, that of the sea and that of the night. Death was looming overhead unless Allah had mercy on him. He occupied himself in remembering Allah and in making this prayer:
(……………………………………-)
“There is no good but you. You you are glorified. I have been among the wrongdoers. “ (surah al-anbiya verses 87)
Not even a moment passed without his making dhikr and tasbih. This swept through the belly of the fish, water of the sea and the seven heavens to the throne of the compassionate. Who accepted his preyer he commanded the fish to came to the surface of the water and drop sayyidina yunus (…………………) at the shore of the sea. He was alone and weak and felt the sun’s hot rays on his body allah caused a pumpkin tree to grow near to him so he sat in its shade and ate its fruit till he regained strength. He made a prostration of gratitude to allah who rewealed to him that he must return to his people he obeyed the command and come back to them to find them as believers.
Allah says in his book in surah yunus verse 98:
(…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..-)
“Then why was there not a town that believed, so that its belief might have profited it, except the people of yunus? When they believed, we removed from them the chastisement of degradation in the life of this world, and we gave them comfort for a while.”
